 A Martinez first came to the attention of movie fans as the outcast Cimarron in the Mark Rydell directed movie, "The Cowboys." He has since gone on to play a variety of roles in film and TV, including Meryl Streep's gigolo/butler Garcia in "She-Devil," badass activist Buddy Red Bow in Handmade Films' "Powwow Highway," and the hapless revolutionary Juan Cortina in HBO's "The Cherokee Kid." His performance as Steven in the Robert Redford-produced "Grand Avenue," also for HBO, won him critical praise, and he was awarded a Best Actor Emmy for his work as Cruz Castillo on NBC's "Santa Barbara."
