Dale Midkiff was born in Salisbury, Maryland on
July 1, 1959. He was raised around Baltimore and
in Chance, Maryland. His grandfather, Captain
Vernon Jones, was the captain of an oyster boat
as was his father and his father before him.
His grandmother, Marcella Jones, was a teacher.
He has six brothers and one sister. He considers
his family the salt of the earth.
Mr. Midkiff has been a member of the Screen Actors
Guild for 21 years. He has played leading roles in
films, MOW'S, series, and mini-series. Most notably,
"Elvis and Me," "Time Trax," "The Magnificent Seven,"
"Pet Sematary," and "Love Comes Softly" ...for
which he won The Grace Award and Camie Award.
His performance in "Debating Robert Lee" is an homage to the teacher who
made the greatest difference in his life,
Mr. George Greene, who is still teaching and is
one of Mr. Midkiff's oldest and dearest friends.

Mr. Midkiff is married and has three children.
