Stephen Tobolowsky was born in Dallas, Texas. He studied Drama at SMU in Dallas and the University of Illinois. It should be noted that at Kimball High School he won over a dozen tournaments in debate with his partner Darien McWhirter. He and Darien were called the "Tigers of North Texas."
Stephen has appeared in around 90 films and 150 television shows. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in "Mornings at Seven" on Broadway in 2002. His favorite films include: "Groundhog Day," "Mississippi Burning," "Single White Female," "Thelma and Louise," "Memento," and "Freaky Friday."
Stephen is married to actress and director Ann Hearn. They have two children Robert and William. All of them are quite adept at debate. Dinner is a challenge.
