Director of Photography Ben Kufrin's background in still photography has led him to a successful and diverse career in cinematography. His work has spanned a wide range of mediums including independent features, network television and commercials.

Time Out New York, Chicago Tribune, Sun-Times, LA Weekly, and Variety have lauded his work in the indie features "Ill-Gotten Gains," "My Brother Jack," and the forthcoming "Cock & Bull Story" directed by Billy Hayes. Other current and upcoming features include the hip-hop western "Gang of Roses," starring music sensations L'il Kim and Bobby Brown, the ensemble youth-drama "Pledge of Allegiance" lead by Freddy Rodriguez, the emmy-nominated star of HBO's "Six Feet Under," and "Wasabi Tuna" the drag-queen comedy featuring Tim Meadows, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Anna-Nicole Smith. Kufrin has recently completed shooting "Dude We're Going to Rio" co-written by and starring rapper and musical beat maker Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes. The music adventure movie for FOX and Arista Records was shot on location in Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, and New York and features appearances by Busta Ryhmes, as well as Williams' own band N.E.R.D.

Kufrin has also lent his talents on such television projects ranging from MTV's "Making the Band," and VH-1's "100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders hosted by William Shattner" to FOX Family's original movie "Storm" starring Martin Sheen and Luke Perry. In commercials, his work can be seen in spots for Hoover, the NHL, Mattel, Time-Life, as well as national network promos for Spike TV and the Oxygen Channel, where he filmed such talents as Madonna, ICE-T, Melissa Etheridge, Kelsey Grammer, Taye Diggs to name a few.

Kufrin works comfortably in all types of imaging technologies. Whether the project calls for traditional film, or DV and HD photography Ben continues to explore and utilize all realms of image making.
